I spent about 2 hours trying to work out how to seperate subject headings so they display as seperate lines in the display screen for search results. I followed both the online instructions and instructions in two manuals. I went into Box Properties, adjusted paragraphs, put in delimiters etc. Nothing works - I am still getting a string of headings (there are screen shots in the manual which show this type of display as well), which will look pretty confusing for my clients once the catalogue goes online. Anyone else had this problem and know how to do this?

Our reports are set up like this: go to the form designer, select the field you want, right click and select box properties, then select the paragraghs tab, then under paragraph breaks choose "make each entry or item a paragraph". Then save and close. This setting, coupled with the fact that the data is entered with an F7 new paragraph between each heading, displays the headings on separate lines. I hope this helps. Cheers. That's exactly what I did. I think I needed to close down the program and restart it to effect the changes. I've just gone in to check and the display screen is now displaying the subject headings as seperate lines.

I will have to check individual records and ensure that F7 key has been used instead of enter - this may have been why the records I looked at yesterday were not displaying correctly.

To me it sounds you are almost there. Just make sure you are doing it right. I am assuming that when cataloguing you press F7 before adding other subject entries in the descriptors field. Redesign the form you want to display records with by doing the following: Search to retrieve some records to enable you see the changes as you modify the form. Go to Display then Design Form. Highlight the form you want to change. Highlight Descriptors Field. Go to Box properties>Paragraphs>Make each item or entry a paragraph>Format>Item numbering>Select 1,2,3>Save Form
