I am trying to use MARC Transformer to convert my records to MARC format. I have exported my records into an ASCII file then tried to use MARC Transformer to convert this file to MARC. When I run the file through the Transformer I receive an error message saying that the file is not ASCII, or that it contains Non-ASCII characters.

I know that InMagic doesn't provide support for the MARC Transformer, but I was hoping that someone with experience in using this software might be able to help me figure out what I am doing wrong.

Also, is there a better software available than the MARC Transformer? One that will work with InMagic DBText?

I think that I figured it out on my own. I exported the file using InMagic Tagged Format instead of ASCII format, and the MARC Transformer was able to process it.
