Iam installing Bar Codes to be able to issue out and in - library materials. Checking out does not seem to work. When I scan, the bar code is entered but cursor remains in the same field after having added an extra tab space. How can I make it move to the next field without creating an extra tab space.

I use barcodes in my library. When I check a book in or out, I do it one item at a time. When I scan the barcode the cursor drops down to the next line, then I just use the backspace key to bring the cursor back up to the barcode before saving the record.

I do remember once hearing about a way to change the setting on the barcode scanner to fix this but I never thought it was important enough to follow through on it.

The problem might be with your barcode scanner, not with the InMagic software. In my case, I have scanned barcodes into word or text files and the same thing happens that I described above. Test it out by scanning barcodes into word files and see if the same problem occurs.
