I don't know if these two are related, but after we switched to PDF, a certain search is taking a long time.
When I run all but this certain query, I can pull up a couple thousand records no problem, but this one query will sit and spin for about 2 minutes. It is a "NOT" query that the search term has about 35k "Current Sets." We were able to run this query before no problem, but either by luck or coincidence, after switching to PDFs, that search is taking extra long. With PDFs, getting back to the printing being 95% of actual size. With TIFFs we could live with this, but with PDFs, it will often make the background grayish, probably due to the compression of the image. As a temporary fix, I have our employees printing to a certain printer where the driver allows me to print 110% of normal size. Unfortunately not all the printers have this option. Any way to get the document to print Actual Size. This doesn't seem like a trivial request to remove the margins dbtextworks is putting on the document. |

Can't help but note that DBTW seems to be having various problems with PDFs.
For instance I can no longer open them through a hyperlink address although other users here can. Grady |
