This seems to be a new problem with the v3 driver, as I do not remember having this issue with the old v1 driver. Please note that the ODBC.NET data provider from Microsoft must be installed to add ODBC data sources to VisualStudio.NET
Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open Server Explorer in VS.NET 2. Right click Data Connections, choose Add Conection 3. Under Provider choose 'OLE DB for ODBC Providers' 4. Under Connection select your data source name 5. In the Server Explorer drill down to the textbase 6. Expanding the textbase entry crashes VS.NET ------------------------------------------------- Nathan Mayr - DevActive Communications, Web Application Development Services White Rock BC, Canada Email: nathan@devactive.com http://www.devactive.com/ |
