I've seen the contents of dbtw_params and have constructed hyperlinks to change forms.
I want to be able to revise a search, i.e. offer the ability to "search within these results". To do that, I need access to the search terms in a variable of some kind. The dbtw_params variable holds "SN=some autoset" which is a temporary set, which I understand. It works with AC=CHANGE_REPORT, obviously, but not AC=QBE_QUERY or AC=MENU_QUERY. Is there any AC value I can use with that temporary autoset in order to perform another search? (modified or otherwise) Or, alternatively, is there any variable or other access for the QI values involved in the search in the first place? If I could get at the QI values I could build a QBE_QUERY (a canned search). I could do this the hard way by adding code to the WebPublisher js files to gather the search terms when they are posted, but I don't want to mess with those core files if I don't have to. |

I've also run into this problem and don't know of a solution yet.
Any help appreciated I didn't want to start a new thread so I just added to this one |

You can use the SEARCH variable in the Form Designer to add the query criteria to the report in Command Query format. You can use Command Query format with the QY= parameter (which is an alternative to the QIn/QFn/QBn method).
(QY= was implemented after 2002 when the message that started this thread was posted.) |
