This is something I just descovered recently, and it may have something to do with the upgrade to WPP version 10.
My online catalog is up on the internet, and uses word wheel buttons. I tried to do a search on it using IE7, but I couldn't get the word wheel to initialize, to work. I was still able to search and to pull up my results, and to access the next page of results (more than 20 hits). Next, I tried Netscape 8.1. With Netscape I was able to use the Word Wheel Buttons, but it wouldn't display my search results. Finally, I tried using FireFox. In that browser, I was able to access the word wheel buttons, I was able to do a search and pull up a results page, but I was unable to advance to page 2 when there was more than 20 hits. Using an older version of IE, IE 6, on a different computer, and I had no problems searching the online catalog. Three different browsers, three different set of problems. Has anyone else experienced problems relating to WPP 10, IE 7, Netscape 8, and/or Foxfire? I checked all of my browser settings, and couldn't figure out what could be causing the problem. Thank you. |

I don't have any experience with this, but I think you should consider recreating the search menus from DBTextWorks version 10 and then use Choises Browser button or Choises browser link instead of Word Wheel. Word wheel is a Java applet and users can have problems with it:
"Word Wheel buttons are an option that the creator of the form may have included on a search form. They provide access to a dialog box that allows you to browse indexes. To display Word Wheel buttons and to run a Word Wheel, you need Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 or later, or Netscape Navigator version 3.x/4.x. For recent versions of Internet Explorer, you must install and use the Microsoft Virtual Machine. Recent versions of Sun Java are not backwards-compatible and do not function with Word Wheels, and recent versions of Netscape Navigator use this incompatible version of Sun Java." NEEngstrom |

I think DB 10 doesnt support word wheel. In my research for integrating DB 10. I've noticed several sites that require a plugin download for wordwheel. I also recall reading somewhere that it's not supported.
