The Saskatoon Public Library uses WebPublisher Pro for data entry into our CS/TextWorks textbases.
Our Local History Room Collections textbase WPP query screen has a Keyword Search box which searches all 59 fields in the textbase. Prior to version 11 we did not experience any problems using the WPP query screen, however after upgrading to version 11 the LHR staff have had problems with the Collections query screen, in particular the Keyword Search box. If performing a search using the Keyword Field you are given the following error screen: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage Most likely causes: you are not connected to the Internet … At first we thought it was an IE problem, but after upgrading and loading all fixes the problem still occurred. I searched the CS/TextWorks v. 11 help file and noted that Date fields shouldn’t be included in a keyword/anyword search field. I edited the query screen to remove any date fields, but the problem still persisted. Also, I searched this form site, but couldn’t find anything similar. Today I re-created the Keyword Search box and added one field at a time and then tested the query screen with WPP. The problem didn’t appear until the 55th field was added. Query: What has changed from WPP v. 10 to 11 that would cause this problem? Can this problem be fixed? Any assistance, help, or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you very much. |
