I am developing a web based application for a client who is running DB/Textworks 10.00. Within this application (written in coldfusion) I will need to query their DB/Textworks system to confirm the presence of certain records.

I've asked support if I can do this directly via an ODBC connection, but have been told that their ODBC module does not work with Coldfusion MX. I was told that the WebPublisher Pro product might be what I'm looking for.

My question is this: How would WebPublisher Pro allow me to access the DB/Textworks database via my code? Does it offer any way to setup web services that I can use to do this?

Webpublisher can return XML and has a documented XML data access API. It also provides a way to generate a SOAP web service.
