Has anyone encountered a similar warning message in their server event viewer? We have had some slowness on our Intranet server in recent days and I want to see if this message, which is applicable to Webpublisher, has anything to do with it.
Thanks for any suggestions. Jennifer Event Type: Warning Event Source: W3SVC Event Category: None Event ID: 37 Description: Out of process application '/LM/W3SVC/1/Root/dbtw-wpd' terminated unexpectedly. Hi Jennifer,
I am also starting to suffer from this problem too. Everything has been working fine up until the last few weeks, now though at least once maybe twice a week my textbase searching breaks and I get exactly the same error in my event log followed by lts of Event 204 WAM errors. (see below) The only way I can fix this is to reboot my Web Publisher Server. The only thing that has changed onthis box are the Microsoft Security Patches. Did you find a solution to this ?? Anyone else having the same problem. Running Windows 2000 Server SP4 IIS 5 fully patched. EVENT ID 204 Source WAM The HTTP server encountered an unhandled exception while processing the ISAPI Application ' + 0x7 MFC71 + 0x31827 DbtEe90r!??1CDBHeader@@UAE@XZ + 0x134 + 0x1807000 + 0x2933BF8D + 0x88D82EC0 '. I can't recall how this was solved but WebPublisher was not the problem. Are there other applications running on the same server?

Hi JennM,
Thanks for the reply.. I think the problem could be to do with some of the Microsoft Security patches that I install on a monthly basis, we have only recentley had this problem which leads me to believe that it is a patch that is causing the problem. I have scheduled a reboot of the server every night and this will solve the problem for the short term while I build a new server with Windows Server 2003, hopefully this will solve my problem. Thanks for your response anyway. |

I realise this is an old thread, but did you actually get to the bottom of this?
We still get regular errors of: The HTTP server encountered an unhandled exception while processing the ISAPI Application ' ntdll!RtlZeroHeap + 0x624 ntdll!RtlCreateHeap + 0x8BE ntdll!RtlAllocateHeap + 0x3B6 MSVCR71!__crtLCMapStringA + 0x305 MSVCR71!__crtLCMapStringA + 0x32D |

Hi Mike,
We no longer seem to have this problem. I upgraded our Web Publisher box to Server 2003 and also the latest versions of DB and Web Pub. and since then touch wood the server / sites have been 100% reliable. Hope this helps you. |
