Hello,

I've got a canned search calling a field that has special characters g.e. parenthesis. Is there any way of eliminating these, without taking it out of the database field?
Here's an example, if you click on Provenance link West Vancouver (B.C.).Archives West Vancouver (B.C.).Archives
It gives an error message because of the added characters.
I'm looking for java or some way of telling it to ignore those.

If anyone's had this problem I solved it. If you have a field record that has added () parenthesis in the record just ad a single quotation mark around the record. e.g. 'PartOf'

This way it ignores any text inside the record.
