Will Content Server 10 run on a client machine that has the Windows Vista operating system?

It should. My colleagues have run it successfully on Vista.

I have installed it and am able to open the software and pick a menu screen I want it to use but when I click on the database to open it it just hangs there and does nothing.

Windows Firewall is the culprit. You must allow the connection by including the software program in the list of exceptions.
