I just became a member of the Forum; zero postings under Genie. Hmmm...any other Genie users in the Forum? I purchased it in Jan. and got it installed in March. Finally getting settled, ready to look for discussion on the product.

Aaron---WELCOME! I was getting worried. We installed in March 2005, and were the first to get the new version. Just installed that on Jan. 18. Still wrapping my brain around the changes.
My suggestions would depend on what you are coming from; Access database, etc. I will say that the tech support from Inmagic is supremely good. Feel free to ask any pointy questions! Sharon

Hopefully this makes it easier, we are currently using InMagic Content Server Workgroup. From what I've been told, Genie is simply an add-on. What software did you come from?
We came from awful Access database, poorly designed with corrupted data. We purchased Genie 1.3 back in March 2005 and just had the 2.0 version update. So I can't offer you any help as far as integration with Content Server Workgroup. But post-install I may be able to help. We got Content Server but with a limited license to support Genie textbases only.

What are the "Genie Textbases"? There really isn't any documentation on the software when it comes, or before purchasing it that relates to these textbases. I'd like to see if I can do some "leg work" that may save us some time in the end before installing it.
