Inmagic has made available a new DB/TextWorks Version 4.1 Beta download to address several problems people were experiencing when trying to download and install the first beta.

This new version is primarily useful for those who:

a) Had problems which prevented them from downloading or installing the first beta.

b) Didn't try to download the first beta because they don't have a direct Web connection from the machine where they want to install the beta.

There are also a few small changes in the DB/TextWorks Version 4.1 Beta software itself -- primarily to address cosmetic issues with the thesaurus windows.  You should install the second beta directly over the first, if
you elect to download it.

The new DB/TextWorks Version 4.1 Beta is simply a download, similar to our trial downloads.  You do not need to be able to install it from the Web. 

If you need to install the DHTML Control, you will need to be able to install from the Web.  The instructions have been clarified to explain that if the machine already has Internet Explorer 5.0 or later installed, you do not need to download and install the DHTML Control.  So please read the new instructions carefully.
