Is there a utility available to export records to Excel? If not, how does one create a report format that will produce a flat file in csv format? Thank you!

The DOS version only exports in Inmagic Tagged Format. The Windows version will export in delimited ascii format (which is what .csv files use).

It is possible to design a report format that will write data out in delimited ascii format, but it's not for a novice, and that product has been discontinued so support is unavailable.

If I were you, I'd look into purchasing the Data Magician from www.folland.com, if it's still for sale (the page hasn't been updated in a while). It will convert from Inmagic Tagged Format to delimited ascii format.
