I would like to be able to avoid repeatedly having to enter a password when closing and opening textbases without closing DB/TextWorks or Content Server.
(Most software seems to operate this way: you tell it who you are, and from then on it knows and allows you to do whatever you are entitled to do.) As DB/TextWorks (and I am assuming Content Server) just uses passwords but not user profiles as such, I guess the easiest way to achieve this would be for the software to remember what password has been entered, and then try to apply that password when opening any other textbase later in the same session. For user friendliness, there should be no failure or warning message if later a textbase with no passwords is opened; and if a password is not valid for a later textbase but it has a silent password, it should use the silent password (perhaps with a warning). Thanks! |
