The script functionalty offers the possibility to export a file in TAGGED or DELIMITED form.

I need a possibility to export to file instead using one of the forms as the possibility is as I use Send Report as Mail.

Is there a possiblity to do this already. If not this is a wish as the scripting possibilites is further developed.

The background is that I need to export records to another database system with different field names. In this special case I need the possibility to export a file every time I alter a record or adds a new one.
The best would be the possibility to do it as I save the record (using an edit form). Another, less useful, possibility would be using a Script button on a report form.

Currently, there is no parameterized Write Report to File command function. I have added your name to this wishlist item.

Does your other database program support XML input with a specific stylesheet? The next release of DB/TextWorks (and the current release of Content Server) will support XML format when exporting using a script.
