We would love to be able to make global changes to all forms in a textbase in the way one can make global changes to all records, e.g. when a CSS or image changes, or we wish to apply a new script to the head area of all web display forms.
At the moment it is very time consuming to open each form individually to make the changes. |

There are a couple of ways you can do this.
The old way: Export all the forms you need to modify to an .XPF file using Maintain>Manage Textbase Elements. Then open the .XPF file in Notepad and do the desired Find/Replace. Delete the original forms using Manage Textbase Elements, then reimport the modified ones. The new way: DB/TextWorks and WebPublisher 8.0 and will permit you to use includes at 6 seams in the Web page. You would specify the file name containing your desired header information in one of the seams. Then you could just modify the file and it would affect all the forms. This functionality is already available in Content Server. |
