Textbase defaults to readponly Silent Password so things work correctly in WebPublisher Pro. So if I run a search in DBTW, display a report, and then decide I want to edit a record, I need to change to master password. Changing password pops me back to Initial Action -- in our case, the query screen. It would be nice not to have to start over. Granted, I can change passwords before conducting searches, but I don't know that I'll ever remember to do that.

You are the 4th person to request that DB/TextWorks retain the current "state" when you switch to a different password.
You might want to change your DB/TextWorks Tools>Options>General to "Always prompt for password". That way, WebPublisher would continue to behave as it does now, but DB/TextWorks would remind you to specify the desired password when you opened the textbase. You could also use Save Set before choosing Use Different Password. Then you could use Load Set when you return to the empty query screen. |
