On submitting a Record that has been edited, it can be rejected if an entry is not on the validation list or does not match the expected format. That is OK but all edits are lost when you return to the edit screen.

Is it possible to enable amending the reason for rejection without loosing all your other edits?

This is causing me serious headaches as users (especially new users) are loosing a lot of work. Some of my edit screens can take 30 minutes or more to complete and loss of that much work generates considerable angst. Worse still, the systems are loosing credibility and user support in the process. Help!

In my experience, the problem only occurs if users do paste a term from a validation list, then get another validation error.

This issue has been addressed in verson 7.1 -- no scheduled release date yet.

In my case, the rejections are occurring when users:
a. mistype an entry by hand into a field with a validation list, or
b. paste an entry from a validation list, change their mind and not fully delete the entry, or
c. type in a date that does not conform to the required format (## !^^ ####)

I also experience it when all the required fields are not all completed. Using the "back" option does not always work.
